Art & Tradition: Mediterranean cooking and rice dishes in a sculpture garden
Where to find Class & Villas
Mediterranean cooking among Toni Marí’s sculptures
On the Camí Cabanes in Jávea, Ca Aleix describes itself as a restaurant of traditional Mediterranean cooking: rice dishes, fresh fish, grilled meat, salads and homemade desserts.
A restaurant in a sculpture park
The restaurant sits inside the park that sculptor Toni Marí has created next to his workshop, planted by Montgó Verd. The star of the place is Antonia, a huge iron whale you can see from the road.
Alejandro Crespo’s cooking
Alejandro Crespo took over the restaurant in June 2018 with his parents’ support. According to the menu, his dishes carry the tradition of Valencian cooking and respect for the produce; some of the meat and vegetables are roasted in their kamado oven. Rice dishes are served at lunchtime only, to order, for a minimum of two people. A few dishes from the menu:

- Arroz al hornooven-baked rice, 1 h 30 min cooking time
