Restaurante Escondida
Mediterranean roots, a restless soul: creative cooking right on the beach
Where to find Class & Villas
Creative Mediterranean cooking on the beach
In the El Palmar area of Les Marines in Dénia, Escondida cooks, in its own words, “with a Mediterranean soul and a restless spirit”: the sea is its root, but not its limit.
Vicente Jiménez’s cooking
Chef Vicente Jiménez reinterprets familiar flavours with a contemporary eye, using seasonal cooking and local produce. He started in his family’s kitchen, trained in Dénia, Benidorm and at the University of Seville, worked in kitchens such as Audrey’s and alongside Rafa Soler.
Menus and groups
Alongside the restaurant menu there is a wine list with local Dénia, Spanish and signature wines, a cocktail list that includes alcohol-free options, and a breakfast menu. For groups, weddings and celebrations they prepare menus with vegan options and for food intolerances.
Getting there
Carrer Rossarda is a dead-end street by the beach, so the restaurant suggests parking beforehand, on Carrer Òliba or in the El Palmar area, and walking the rest. You can also arrive along the Les Marines seafront promenade or on bus line L1 (El Palmar stop).
