Cuadros 45: embers and wood-fired oven between Jesús Pobre and Gata
In the Gata valley, at the foot of the Montgó and beside the road linking Jesús Pobre with Gata, Cuadros 45 has been serving the Mediterranean cooking of the Marina Alta since 1987.
A country house with a history
Since 1987 Cuadros 45 has welcomed generations of diners in the heart of the Marina Alta. In late November 2025 it reopened its doors with the same idea as ever: honest cooking, seasonal and local produce, friendly service and an atmosphere that invites you to sit back and take your time.
Terrace, porch and fireplace
The house is spread over a terrace with panoramic views of the Montgó, several outdoor areas, a porch with typically Mediterranean arches and two indoor dining rooms, one of them with a fireplace. A setting designed as much for a quiet meal as for celebrations.
Embers, wood-fired oven and roots
The menu is built on chargrilled meats and wood-fired oven dishes, with nods to the local larder and a selection of local and Spanish wines. Some of its dishes:
- Traditional oven-baked ricewith chickpeas, stew broth, cured sausages and ribs
- Shoulder of milk-fed lambfrom the Moorish wood-fired oven
- Chargrilled Iberian «lagarto»with its garnish
- Grandma's free-range chicken «rustido»leg quarter stewed with cinnamon
- Chargrilled auberginewith cane honey, Gata sobrasada and walnuts
- Granny's crema catalanaeggs, milk, lemon and cinnamon
