Atalaya, with the Mediterranean as its stage
Right on the seafront at Arenal beach in Jávea, Atalaya brings together Mediterranean cuisine, signature cocktails, afternoon sessions with live music and dinners with a DJ.
Mediterranean essence by the sea
Atalaya describes itself as a seafront restaurant offering “gourmet cuisine on the shores of the Mediterranean”. In the kitchen, chef Jerome Rioux works with fresh, local produce in a “sophisticated yet simple” style to capture the truest flavour in every bite of its meats, fish and rice dishes. The cellar holds a wide selection of Spanish and international wines and champagne, with a sommelier on hand to advise if in doubt.

Signature cocktails and afternoon sessions
Its cocktails are, in their words, “a bold and innovative proposal to stimulate the senses”, the fruit of the bartender's imagination and skill: from the Smoke Berry, with mezcal and raspberry, to the Paraíso Prohibido, with gin, Italicus and passion fruit, plus classics and alcohol-free options. From 4.30 pm, the seafront afternoon session adds cocktails, tapas and live music.
Dinners with a DJ
On Friday and Saturday nights, from 8 pm, dinner comes with a live DJ set: “the Mediterranean as the stage, gastronomy as the star and music as the common thread”. Atalaya is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 noon to 2.30 am, and belongs to the same group as Sabbia Valencia.
