Swiss and Mediterranean cuisine in Altea's old town
Feature · Class & Villas
On Plaza de la Iglesia, facing Altea's blue dome
In the heart of the historic centre, D’els Artistes looks out onto the blue dome that sets Altea apart and, beyond it, the sea. It has been run for almost 20 years by Swiss chef Roland Broggi and his wife, Helen Van Esch.
Roland Broggi's cooking
For years Roland Broggi was recognised in Switzerland as one of the best chefs in his country. Having stepped back from that pace, he decided to start afresh in Altea: a menu that combines Central European cooking with the freshness of the Mediterranean, with the produce as the starting point.
