València inspires design
Feria Hábitat València 2026
València has become one of southern Europe’s great hubs for design, living spaces and innovation. Until 1 October, València Inspira Diseño brings together Feria Hábitat València, Textilhogar, Espacio Cocina SICI and 360 by Cevisama at Feria Valencia: 595 exhibitors and close to 1,200 brands —32% more than at the last joint edition— across 110,000 square metres and ten halls.
Class & Villas walked the fair on opening day to bring you the best in furniture, décor, textiles and kitchens, and the local firms shining there.
The fair opens at a good moment for most of the sectors on show. Spanish furniture production grew 3.4% in 2025 to 4,779 million euros, according to AIDIMME.
Textiles from the Valencia region are also moving forward: exports reached 1,074 million euros in 2025, up 5% on the previous year, according to ATEVAL and CITYC, just as Textilhogar strengthens its presence within València Inspira Diseño.
With these figures, the event stands as southern Europe’s leading design fair in the second half of the year, with an offer ranging from furniture, décor and textiles to kitchens, bathrooms, materials and technology for the home.
The Great Names of Spanish Design
One of the highlights of the opening day was the Meeting of the National Innovation and Design Awards, held at the Ágora nude under the motto “Design and innovation: from recognition to transformation”, with Teresa Riesgo Alcaide, Secretary General for Innovation. Across four round tables, Jaime Hayón, Javier Mariscal, Alberto Lievore, Inma Bermúdez, Mario Ruiz and Héctor Serrano discussed design as business strategy, collaboration with industry and the new generations.
Kitchen & Bath
Espacio Cocina SICI and 360 by Cevisama bring together the latest in kitchens and bathrooms: wood and metal islands, hobs with built-in extraction, outdoor grills and bathrooms that feel like a spa. Provisional figures from the Kitchen Furniture Association point to a 4.9% rise in turnover in the first half of 2026, to around 1,000 million euros.
The bathroom sector turned over 3,824 million in 2024, with 224 companies and some 11,800 jobs, and exported close to 921 million euros in 2025, 83.6% of it to Europe.
The Grand Collection
It arrives at Feria Hábitat València with a clear intention: to reinterpret timeless design through a contemporary lens and make it more approachable. Founded in Amsterdam and inspired by Italian design, the collection unites furniture, lighting, and accessories under a single design language. It features sculptural silhouettes, refined materials, and commanding proportions—yet without the need to shout. Premium fabrics from Italy, Spanish alabaster, and tactile finishes. For us, luxury need not draw attention to itself; it lies in what is conceived, what is touched, and what is felt.
A Cielo Abierto · Jati & Kebon
The outdoor furniture and décor specialist, with stores in Benissa, Altea, Estepona and Marbella, brought its collaboration with Jati & Kebon to the fair: a vast open-air lounge of sofas, sunloungers and tables in sand and green tones, designed for residential, hospitality and bespoke projects. In Benissa, the full collection is on show across a 1,400 m² terrace.
Trends
Natural woods, woven fibres, soft curves and warm light: a walk through some of the fair’s most inspiring spaces, such as Vical’s.
A Cross-cutting Agenda
The programme also marked 60 years of the UPV School of Architecture, the exhibition “Serial structures, singular objects”, Juan Carlos Baumgartner on neuroscience in architecture, the Hotel Hábitat Forum with the Hotel Hábitat 2026 project by Joaquín Homs, and the Hosbec session on hotel rooftops. València Inspira Diseño runs until Thursday 1 October.
Antic Fang Olivense: since 1946 in Oliva, handmade terracotta tiles and pieces made with water, earth and fire. Habitat One Jávea: a materials experience centre in Xàbia: stone, cladding and finishes to see, touch and compare.
