New BMW M5 · Hybrid power for a high-performance sedan

The BMW M5 is an institution in the world of sports sedans. Over 40 years, this model has redefined the limits of power, sportiness and elegance. Now, the seventh generation of the M5 arrives with a revolution under the hood: a plug-in hybrid system that combines the best of two worlds.

The new M5 is equipped with an M Hybrid system that combines a V8 engine with an electric motor. The result is a maximum power output of 727 hp and a torque of 1,000 Nm, making the M5 the most powerful in its history.

V8 engine: The 4.4-liter gasoline engine delivers 585 hp, maintaining the sporty character and distinctive sound of the M5.

Electric motor: A 197 hp electric motor provides extra power and efficiency, allowing an electric range of up to 100 km.

Uncompromising performance

Despite its weight of more than 2 tons, the M5 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), which can be limited to 305 km/h (305 mph) as an option.

Dynamic driving: The M Hybrid system allows adaptive driving, selecting between different driving modes that prioritize efficiency or performance.

Brakes: A carboceramic brake system ensures exceptional braking performance.

Design and technology
