Carlos Serra manages to convey peace and balance in each of his projects
A second home for year-round use was the guiding principle for interior designer Carlos Serra in designing the layout and decor of this house in Jávea. The house revolves around a spacious living-dining room with numerous windows to flood all the rooms with light and maximize sun exposure.
Natural colors and textures are the stars of the living room, where the sofa with ochre-toned textiles and an African bed as a centerpiece stand out. The fireplace, as a central element, marks the division with the dining area, which features a round table and a sideboard with antique Chinese doors. Opposite this space is the kitchen, with a handmade black clay countertop and a central island perfect for cooking while enjoying a light meal. The kitchen cabinets, lacquered in the same tone as the walls and floors, unify this space with the rest of the house. The master bedroom, with a built-in bed and textiles in sand and blue, is notable for its spacious walk-in closet and a pouf made from the same fabric. Carlos Serra has designed a home that conveys peace, balance and quiet luxury where you can enjoy the passage of time.
