Grupo Cala Bandida welcomes the season with the opening of Caleta Bandida in Jávea. This new space captures the essence of a traditional beach bar and translates it into its own unique take on the Mediterranean: unhurried, unconventional, and focused on pure enjoyment. Located by the sea, Caleta Bandida is a haven for escaping the complexities of daily life. A space without music, where the sound of the waves sets the rhythm from the early hours: leisurely breakfasts overlooking the Mediterranean, after-dinner conversations that begin with a cold beer, fried food, sardines, tapas, and dishes to share, and afternoons that linger amidst conversation and the relaxed pace of summer days.

The culinary offering revolves around fresh produce and recognizable Mediterranean classics—like sardines, now a staple on every table—and simple yet expertly executed cuisine, designed to complement a summer lifestyle. All of this is offered in a space that embraces and updates the legacy of the beach bar that, for decades, occupied the site where Caleta Bandida now stands.

Caleta Bandida embodies the Group’s most relaxed, natural, and beachy side. It’s the kind of atmosphere that can be enjoyed all day long, by the sea, with spontaneous plans that arise without any prior planning.

In addition, Caleta Bandida also offers breakfast service and, starting in June, will open its doors in the evenings, extending the experience from early morning until dinner overlooking the Mediterranean.

As Lucas Gisbert, one of the partners of Grupo Cala Bandida, states, “La Caleta is part of Jávea’s history, and for us, being from Jávea, it was very important to maintain the essence that has made it such a beloved place. We want it to remain a traditional beach bar, true to its origins, to its way of enjoying the Mediterranean, and to that feeling of coming here without any fuss.”

With over a decade of experience in the sector, Grupo Cala Bandida has established itself as a leading name in Mediterranean gastronomy on the Costa Blanca, developing spaces with their own unique identity and a shared approach to the experience: unhurried, with the product at the heart of it all, and always in harmony with the surroundings.

Their journey begins in Jávea, where Cala Bandida has become a landmark in the port, combining Mediterranean cuisine, sea views, and an approach designed to savor the moment, without time constraints. This is followed by La Bandideta, located in Cala de la Granadella, where fire, local produce, and the surrounding environment create a more spontaneous, intimate, and social experience.

In 2022, the group expanded its offerings with Villa Bandida, incorporating a more versatile and sophisticated concept that strengthens its presence in the province and its ability to adapt to different occasions and clientele.

A year later, the Group took another step, bringing its essence to Madrid with Finca Bandida, located in LaFinca Grand Café, incorporating a more relaxed and experiential approach as part of its natural evolution as a brand.

Over the years, Grupo Cala Bandida has been building an ecosystem that extends beyond the restaurant business, with projects such as its Gata bakery and initiatives linked to sports, always maintaining a coherent and evolving vision.
