VICAL’s professional meeting where design, crafts and gastronomy come together

From May 19th to 22nd, VICAL held the eighth edition of VICAL Experience at its Ollería showroom, an event aimed at professionals in the design, interior design, and decoration sectors. The event, a leisurely tour of a new 3,000-square-meter showroom—an expansion of 1,500 square meters compared to the previous one—reaffirmed VICAL’s position as a leading name that has steadily gained prestige through its artisanal approach and modern interpretation of spaces.

This year, the major new addition was the presence of its newest line, KODU by VICAL, which brought freshness and, if possible, greater sophistication to the essential event, further reinforcing its commitment to innovation.

Three talks were held during these dates. On May 19th, Constanza Subijana, founder of HS Decor and co-founder of the Spanish Home Staging Association (AHSE), spoke. On May 20th, José Manuel Ferrero, head of EstudiHac, spoke about the Plissé and Jacquard collections, designed in collaboration with the brand’s in-house studio. In the latter, the duo opted for classic fabrics that form a sophisticated jacquard, creating elegant pieces that undeniably elevate the collection. They employed geometric volumes, fine materials, and a refined yet intense and expressive formal grammar. The result is a cohesive collection with a graphic intent and an intelligent use of texture as a visual and tactile tool.

Finally, on May 21st, Alicia Verdasco and María Medina, founders of The Hamptons, a leading Spanish company in luxury home staging and real estate marketing, were present.

The culinary offerings, provided by Sabors Catering, featured exquisite yet robust dishes. A perfectly executed fideuà from Gandía shared the spotlight with two impeccable rice dishes: a flavorful senyoret and a highly praised Valencian paella. Guests also sampled Galician-style octopus panipuri with creamy potatoes and a creamy seafood salad on prawn crackers. Well-conceived local cuisine, served to encourage conversation and pleasant after-dinner chats.

From 2:30 p.m. onwards, the musical program was taken over by DJ Fabricio, who extended his sets until 6:30 p.m., the closing of each day. Prior to this, at 1:00 p.m., the public enjoyed enticing cocktails accompanied by a live piano performance by Alfonso Calza.

The event aimed to surpass the 2025 edition, which had already exceeded expectations with a remarkable turnout—300 visitors in total—interested in exploring the latest releases from the Valencian firm, specializing in furniture, lighting, and interior design, at their leisure.
