Paellas, fideuàs and Valencian dishes since 1963

La Fontana opened in 1963, when it was the only restaurant on El Arenal beach in Jávea. Several generations later it is still in the same spot, specialising in paella, fideuà and Valencian dishes.

“This is where we started and this is where we still are,” says the restaurant. For several generations the family has kept the traditional dishes of the region on the table every day, and the menu brings back recipes that had been fading from memory. Paellas and fideuàs are made with local produce.

The dining room is spacious, with several areas, and the terrace looks onto the promenade and the beach. The kitchen is open all day and the restaurant opens every day, breakfast included.

What to order

Rice dishes are served for a minimum of two. The menu also includes tapas, fish, meat, pasta and artisan pizzas. A few dishes:

Alongside the menu, the restaurant offers a daily set menu with new dishes each week, designed for regulars. On the busiest days it recommends booking a table in advance.
